News

Been acting and singing for a living since brief sojourns into the US Navy and college (neither worked out all that well, military because of my knees... I TOLD YOU I HAD BAD KNEES!!!!... college because of laziness and alcohol).

I began working full-time in theater in 1991 locally, then on to 3 Little Bakers in 92-93.  In 1993 I moved to Cape May for the summer and have yet to find a reason to leave.  I married Cathrine Fiorentino in 2000, we have 3 boys; Owen-6, Jackson-4, Henry-2 (as of 11/07).

I've written and directed many shows at Elaine's Dinner Theater where I did 2 tours of duty (1993-1999, 2002-2004) and fronted 2 bands (Southwind 1994-1999, The O'Brien Bros. Band, alternately featuring Mike, Dan and Greg O'Brien (1999-2003).

In between I've waited a million tables, built a few houses, dug a few ditches and made a few movies and commercials.

I currently (11/07) am a weekly columnist for Exit Zero Magazine.  My column, the bitchy, funny, political Undertow has become something of a Cape May must-read.  My first short story, Murder-Oke (about a karaoke serial killer) is being adapted into a film to shoot in Spring of '08.

I also run my own karaoke business (Terry-Oke!) and have since 2005.

You can find me on Myspace at www.myspace.com/terryoke.
