Thomas Mike Waldrop, 45, lost a valiant year-long battle with cancer.
A 1981 graduate of Kennett High School, Mike was a long-time employee of Marston Furniture of Kennett Square. He later worked for Kendal-Crosslands retirement community and operated his own carpet installation business.
He is survived by his parents, Peter and Velva Waldrop of Oxford, his beloved sister, Mary E. Coleman of Oxford and their dog, Millie.
Mike's kindness and gentle disposition will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21 in the Ware Presbyterian Village Health Center chapel of Oxford.
