John F. Brackin, 73, of 400 Lycoming St., died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Gate House at Divine Providence Hospital.
Born June 13, 1937 in Kennett Square, he was a son of the late Wilson James and Mary Catherine Galatha Brackin.
John was a jack of all trades. He worked for the American Rescue Workers for many years.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia L. Brackin of Norfolk, Va.; three sisters, Theresa Hodson, Melva McKee and Mary Wayne; three grandchildren, Jarrod, Haley and Kelsey Burkes; and close friends, Alma Danley and John Watkins.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no viewing. A tribute to John's life will be held at the Kast Hotel, 723 Arch St. at 4 p.m. today.
