Betty Maxwell Foster, 76, of Kennett Square, passed away on Nov. 19 at her residence.

She was the wife of Sebert Foster, who passed away in 1988, and with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.  Born in West Chester, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee Maxwell, Sr., and the late Eva Mae Lee Maxwell.  She did domestic work for various families in the area.  She was a member of the Kennett Square Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, landscaping, being with her family and friends and all children.

She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Foster of Kennett Square; two daughters, Diane Stevens of Avondale, and Marjorie Foster of Kennett Square; two brothers, Donald R. Maxwell, Sr., of Kennett Square, and Frederick O. Maxwell of Kennett Square; one sister, Jean McMillan of Oxford; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by one son, Guy Orlando Foster.

Services and burial will be private.
