Joseph Anthony DiGiacinto Sr., 84, of Valley Center, Calif., died Sunday, April 5, 2009, in Escondido, Calif.
He was the wife of Lena (Fragale) DiGiacinto, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born Nov. 10, 1924, in Kennett Square, he was the son of the late Rosario and Christina Cappola DiGiacinto.
He was a graduate of Kennett High School.
He owned businesses in Kennett Square; Boynton Beach, Fla.; Morgan Hill, Calif.; and Valley Center, Calif.
He was a world-class accordion player. He and his brother performed as the Jaggi Brothers.
In addition to his wife, Lena, he is survived by daughter, Joanne Pompeo; sons, Joseph DiGiacinto Jr. and John DiGiacinto; and grandchildren, Frank, Lauren, Nick and Jordan.
